Benson
 6-8 year old Brown Tabby & White Male Cat*
Benson is a strong, handsome chap who has finally found safety at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue after spending months, if not years, on the streets fending for himself.
He arrived with Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue at the beginning of May '10 and has quickly proven himself to be a huge hit with visitors and staff. Despite arriving in a terrible mess with abscesses on both sides of his face, some hair loss and covered in fleas and ticks his ordeal hasn’t broken his trust in humans and he is full of purrs for the chance of a cuddle or pett.
As you would expect after having fended for himself he is a cat that very much loves his food and isn’t shy or slow in making sure you are made aware he is due his dinner!
 We will probably never know just how much he has endured during his time living as a stray cat but we just love dignified big tom cats like Benson who are full of character and love. His sores and abscesses have healed up nicely and his general appearance is improving every day.
With the most gorgeous Brown Tabby colouring and a white underbelly and chest he is a very handsome lad and when he looks at you with those big green eyes you just can’t help but stop to chat with him a while.
Put your hand in to pett him and you will no doubt get Benson flipping on his side for you to ensure you can give his cute fluffy tummy a good rub
Benson loves to watch what you are up to and likes to pop round and check on everyone of a morning and will come running as soon as you call him. A cat with a gentler, loving and caring nature you really couldn’t find.
 We are looking for a home for Benson where he can enjoy being an only cat and have some much deserved one on one love and attention. We wouldn’t recommend Benson for a home with young children however he would be fine with teenagers. We do not know how Benson would be with dogs.
We feel that with Bensons nature and background he is a cat that would adapt equally well in an indoor / outdoor or indoor only home. Please remember that any cat living in an indoor only home does require owners to ensure that their cats are both physically and mentally stimulated. 14 June 2010 - Benson has now found his new loving home where we are sure he will be very happy.
