Esme is a very sweet, loving little girl who found her way to the Harbour in a rather sorry state following the death of her owner. We are very happy to be able to now put her forward for adoption following a very successful veterinary check up and care for her poor condition on arrival. Esme is a very healthy 10 year old female cat who is simply looking for love and warm lap to snuggle on.
We know from experience that some people will look at Esme's age and shy away but believe us when we say this meek, quiet looking cat turns into a whizzing tasmanian devil for a laser pen or feather tickler toy as the video of her below shows.
This little lady has spent many years in a home where she lived with many other cats in their shadow however assessment on arrival has identified that Esme is in fact a cat that very much needs a home of her own with no other cats to allow her cheeky, happy personality to shine through and her confidence grow.
Esme absolultely adores head and chin rubs and is always waiting with bright orange eyes and a loud trilly purr for petts and strokes - Just don't expect her to move out of her cosy bed in her pen for anything other than a feather tickler!
Esme would love to join a family home with older children or an adult only home where she can receive much love, cuddles and petts.
Preferably an indoor only home would suit Esme or we may consider an indoor / outdoor home with enclosed garden well away from any busy roads or thoroughfares.
We are very sure that whoever meets this wonderful little lady will fall in love with her right away. Her loving, gentle nature is immediately apparent and she asks for nothing other than food, warm bed and cuddles - oh and you must be willing to keep a plentiful supply of her favourite feather ticklers!
Esme is neutered and will be up to date with all flea and worm treatments on leaving Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue along with her vaccination.

Update 6th July 2011: We are delighted to report that Esme is now settling into her new forever home where she is very happy and once again enjoying life.
