I found home... I found home thanks to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue

Jay (aka Jay Jay)

Jay6 year old, Cream/ Ginger, Short Hair Male Cat

Jay is a gorgeous cream / ginger male cat who came to Sunny Harbour with Daisy, Esme and Damon after one of their owners passed away.  Jay is a very sweet boy who just loves to be picked up and cuddled or should I say cradled like a baby.

As you can probably see from his pictures Jay does have a little bit of a weight problem due to food issues which means that he enjoys it just a little too much causing his weight to have reached nearly 8kg when we brought him into Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.

JaySince his arrival Jay has lost approximately 1 kg and is on a very strict diet to ensure that he continues to lose weight until his ideal weight is reached. Therefore any potential pawrents for Jay are required to be strict with his feeding regime to ensure that his weight is controlled appropriately and no giving into those big “I love You… Pllleeeeaase feed me” eyes.

Due to Jays food issues we are seeking to place him into a home of his own where he doesn’t have the temptation to steal from other cats or animals in the house.  We are hopeful that with time and once his ideal weight is reached that he will learn to graze his food rather than wolf everything down in one go.

JayAside from his weight and food issues Jay is a very happy, healthy cat who passed his veterinary check with flying colours.  He is a typical male cat who just loves cuddles and attention and when the notion takes him also enjoys playing with the laser pen or feather toys when not entirely focused on food.

Jay is seeking an indoor only home and would do equally well in a family or adult only home due to his exceptionally laid back and kind nature.

Jay is neutered and up to date with all wormer and flea treatments.
