Kitten Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue have a number of kittens that come into our care at various stages throughout the year. Many kittens come to us weak or lacking proper medical care and will be nursed and given the appropriate treatment prior to being considered available for adoption.

How to Apply

If you are looking to adopt a kitten from Sunny Harbour then we ask that you submit your enquiry in writing using our Application for Adoption. This is a simple 2 page form that allows us to gauge your lifestyle, family and experience with cats. All information provided is used solely by Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue to enable us to profile your family against the kittens we have available to ensure they go into the most suitable homes.

We do not place kittens available for adoption on our website. Therefore if you have a kitten related query we would ask you to contact us either by email or phone on 01592 783732. If you are contacting us regards adopting a kitten then please use our Application for Adoption form.

Kitten Adoption Policy

Please note that where kittens are adopted into homes with no existing cat(s) it is Sunny Harbour policy to adopt kittens in pairs so that they have company and helps to stop boredom, stress and destructive behaviour. It also ensures happier more content kittens.

PLEASE PLEASE ......

DO NOT encourage back street breeders and members of the public to exploit their cats by paying amounts of money for kittens on the free ad sites.

Often these kittens come from mother cats who are constantly pregnant and their 'owners' are literally breeding the life out of them for profit. PLEASE do not line their pockets and instead make the ethical choice and help us stop this barbaric practice by removing the driving force of their actions.... MONEY!

ALWAYS CHOOSE RESCUE KITTENS AND CATS.

There are tens of thousands of rescue cats and kittens looking for homes every year that will be euthanised as they have nowhere to go.... so please... do not encourage those to breed
while rescue cats die!

Homing Policy Over the Festive Season

Please be aware that it is Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue's policy to not home kittens during the festive season. Homing of cats and kittens from December to January will be at our discretion.

Cats are not toys or gifts and should not be considered as such for Xmas presents. We urge you to please please do not promise the children a kitten for xmas and instead consider the welfare of the cats and kittens.

Xmas is a very busy time for families with lots of noise, new toys and visitors. This 'fun' time of year is great for families but not so for young kittens and cats who, in a strange home with strange people often become overwhelmed and very very stressed making the transition very traumatic.

Please take our advice and leave the addition of a new feline family member until the New Year when lives have returned to their normal, less disruptive routine and you can truly enjoy the addition of your new feline family member.
