I am very pleased to be able to finally introduce you all to Lucas. Lucas came to us around 2 weeks ago after reports that he had been roaming the streets for weeks.
Whilst initial reports by residents were that Lucas was in fact a girl we can confirm that he is most definitely a neutered boy!
How would I sum up Lucas? - well, he is the most loving, loyal little fella. He loves a good cuddle and very much likes his comforts of a warm cosy bed by the window or radiator and of course plenty of food in his tummy.
When working in the cat room Lucas will always follow me around checking what I'm up to and of course watching for any stray pieces of food that I may have missed.
But who could blame this handsome boy - after weeks scrounging for food - if its in front of him he's definitely going to eat it - no questions asked for sure!
For this reason and that he is not very fond of his current neighbours, leads us to feel that Lucas would be better as an only cat. In doing so he isn't having to worry about wrestling other cats for food and possible over gorging due to food guarding.
Lucas is looking for a home with no young children (under the age of 10) no other cats and no dogs. He would be equally suited to an indoor only or an indoor / outdoor home.
In all respects Lucas is a big teddy bear of a cat. very friendly and very happy to have company and cuddles or equally spend time on his own. He loves the Da Bird toy and his catnip bananas and as you can see if the short video below - he gets right into the swing of things.
Update 06/08/2010:
Great news for Lucas is that he has a new forever home and is settling in very well.
His new meowmy reports:
"Just a short e-mail to let you know that Lucas has settled in well and is making himself at home. He loves sitting on my lap to watch telly and follows me everywhere. I woke up last night to find him laying right beside my face snoring yes he does snore so must mean hes happy"
We are delighted for Lucas - be happy kiddo!
