Rhuraidh came to Sunny Harbour approximately 2 months ago. On arrival he was exceptionally agitated, jumpy and aggressive fuelled by fear and wouldn't allow anyone within 2 feet of him.
Today, Rhuraidh is one of the most affectionate, loving little (ok maybe not little) boys you have ever met. A gentle giant he is very much all braun & no substance and despite trying to act like the hard man he is a big soppy lump who just wants cuddles and companionship.
He can still be a little jumpy in new situations or around new people but with a little reassurance he adapts quickly.
I was going to say he adores his dreamies but if I'm honest, Rhuraidh just simply loves food. All food, any food..... now please!
We have included below a short video of Rhuraidh asking for his night time treats.
He was very unsure of toys on arrival and had no grasp of self play or interactive play. We have spent a considerable amount of time teaching him how to play and he has grown to love toys. His particular favourites include our catnip bananas, knotties, and Valerian toys.
Rhuraidh has turned out to be a wonderful people orientated kitty. He ideally needs an indoor & Outdoor home well away from roads and preferably in a rural location.
He would suit either a family home with older children or an adult only home. Rhuraidh isn't good with other cats and it is unknown how he would be with dogs.
Most of all he needs stability in a permanent home where he can feel safe and loved.
Rhuraidh has now found his special forever home and is very happy. Thank you for reading his profile.
Please note there is a £60 adoption fee per cat or kitten adopted from Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.
