I found my home... I found home thanks to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue

Simba

Simba - proud and happy2 year old male, ginger & white long hair cat

Simba hasn't had an easy life yet despite this he has found his inner cat and is the most loving, playful, cheeky and amusing little cat you could ever wish to meet. Everyone who meets this little fella is taken by his presence and "come say hi" attitude.

When we say that Simba hasn't had an easy life that is perhaps an understatement. He has NO life before he came to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue. Simba came from a back street breeder where he had been kept in a small, bland cage his entire life only leaving to be used to mate.

When Simba first came to Sunny Harbour he was missing a lot of his coat, very little muscle definition from a lack of exercise, was very under weight, had no idea what toys, cat food or ham/ chicken were and looked at cat treats as if you were trying to poison him.

Simba eyes up his prey!Simba was very withdrawn when he first arrived and the thought of leaving his cage terrified him. Attempts at play scared him but with a few weeks of TLC he gained trust, put on weight, muscle definition and soon there was no stopping him from thriving! Now its all you can do open his pen door without him flying out past you :-)

Simba's new found zest for life is a complete joy to see and he is so funny and full of character. Everything and we mean everything is a big adventure and lots of fun and he no longer greets life and strangers with fear and trepidation... now it is happiness and excitement along with a degree of "what have you brought me?" eyes.

We are seeking an indoor only home for Simba and this is something that is a must for any potential new home as he simply does not have the life skills to be allowed outdoors safely.

Simba enjoying play with his favourite toy!We must say that Simba is not a cat who would do well left to his own devices without stimulation all day and as such we are seeking a home where he will only be left on his own for a short period of time - ideally a home where his new pawrent(s) work from home.

Applications from homes where all potential pawrents work full time and Simba would be on his own all day we are sorry to say - will not be considered for Simba. It is very important to us to find him the most suitable home, as it is with all our cats and kittens.

Pawrents for Simba must be prepared to keep him mentally and physically stimulated through play and Simba adores his food ball keeping his mind stimulated and focused.

Simba would be suited to either an adult only home or a family home though we wouldn't suggest with children under 9/10 years old as he can get a little boisterous in play if he gets over excited and doesn't look where he is running or jumping!

We recommend that Simba is an only cat as he can get dominant and with such a big purrsonality it would be difficult for him to integrate with existing cat(s).

We've included short video clip so you can see Simba new found zest for life and play which you can see below.

Simba has been neutered by Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue and will be up to date with wormers and frontline and have started his vaccinations on leaving Sunny Harbour.

Thank you for reading Simba's profile.
