I found home....
Skye
2 yr old Silver Tabby & White female cat.
Original Homing Text:
We would like to introduce you to Skye. Skye came to us in February of 2009 after her owners no longer wanted her. It later transpired that Skye did not venture home for longer than it took her to eat her food and then leave again.
Sadly she had suffered great torment and as a result she had become a broken cat, losing her confidence and trust in humans and she lashed out at her previous family in fear and frustration.
After a difficult few weeks at the rescue Skye realised that she was safe and over the first 3 months she gradually calmed down and once again began to trust.
In the following 2 months Skye made immense progress and became the most loving, loyal little girl. She absolutely adores her kisses, more so than cuddles and petts and loves to be involved in everything you are doing. She loves human company but also enjoys her independence.
When Skye first arrived she didn't really understand the notion of toys and their enjoyment. She has since found out what toys are all about and loves to chase dangler toys around.
We were originally seeking to home Skye with her son, Oddie as they have a wonderful bond and get on very well together. Skye loves his company and having someone to play with however we are well aware that Skye will NOT accept another cat under any circumstances.
We are currently open to homing Skye on her own should a suitable home arise.
Ideally Skye's new home will be somewhere peaceful and away from built up areas. There would have to be no young children, no other cats. We are unsure as to how she would be with a dog.
Skye needs a family with patience and love and understanding. To understand her need to take things at her pace and to adjust to her new home in stages as and when she feels comfortable to do so.
We have rebuilt trust with Skye and she loves attention, kisses and especially being called a pretty girl.
Skye is a real joy to have around and we are exceptionally proud of her and the progress she has made. We are also very sure that she will continue to thrive in her new home with the correct understanding and support from her new family and Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.
Skye has been Spayed by Sunny Harbour and wormed and frontlined and will be vaccinated.
Thank you for visiting Skye's profile page.
Update Oct 09 - We are thrilled to be able to report that Skye has since found her new loving home. We currently await updates.
