I found home...
Smokey
12 year old Grey Torbie Female Cat
I'm very pleased to be able to finally introduce you all properly to Miss Smokie. Miss Smokie has been with us at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue for a few weeks now whilst we got her over the loss of her previous owner, whom she had lived with since she was just a small kitten.
Miss Smokey is a cat that had a wonderful life in her previous home and was loved and the sole companion of an elderly owner. Sadly Miss Smokie has found her way to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue and we hope that someone is out there just waiting on this gorgeous little kitty to love.
A grey torbie female Miss Smokie is a gorgeous kitty and despite her estimated age by family she is in fantastic condition with a wonderful silky coat, bright eyes and chatty nature.
Miss Smokie wasn't a huge fan of her new accommodation when she first came to Sunny Harbour but she has soon turned around and loves nothing more than ear and chin rubs as you can see in the picture.
A touch over spoiling by her previous owner has left Miss Smokie a little on the rounded side and she is currently on a diet to help this decrease.
Despite her estimated age Smokie just loves catnip toys, especially her banana's (thanks to Auntie Yvonne) and also very much loves interactive play with the feather tickler stick. In fact she can't half move at a fair ol' pace when she wants to.
Miss Smokie has lots of life left in her to love you and give you companionship and cuddles in abundance. Someone to watch TV with or even some play sessions too.
Miss Smokie has always been an indoor cat and has not ventured outdoors but we are sure that she would be just as happy in an indoor only home or in a home away from busy roads where she could pop in and out from the garden.

Update Jan 2011: We are delighted to report that after a short time in foster Smokie has now found her forever home.... with her foster parents who fell head over heels for the wee girl as she showed herself to be the loving, affectionate little cat we knew was under that bravado. Well done Smokie!
