We are delighted to finally be able to put Toby forward for adoption. Toby is an amazing, sweet, loving and adorable boy who is very special to all of us here at the Harbour and has now found himself able to search for a very special forever home.
Toby is such a playful loving cat and is always eager to please. He never asks for much in return just food, a warm place to sleep and lots of cuddles and head bumps. His favourite toys are by far his Feather Tickler, Da Bird and also his laser pen as you can see in the video below.
Toby came to Sunny Harbour after being found at the side of the road having been hit by a car. A passer by took Toby to a local vet and from there he found himself at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue to receive the treatment, TLC and love he needed to recover fully from his injuries which included a fractured pelvis, internal bruising and dislocated hip.
Toby has now fully recovered from his injuries and is undergoing supervised play to restore muscle tone to his back legs and hips whilst we find him the purrfect forever home. Whilst there are no long term complications from his accident Toby has been left with his rear right hip sitting high due to dislocation and as a result we are seeking an Indoor Only home for Toby as it does mildly affect the function of his back right leg which may impair him outdoors. However as an indoor only cat he can be safe and this will cause him no problems to movement, walking, playing, etc which is also demonstrated in his video above.
We are also happy to consider homes with a cat proofed garden or an external run area for him to exercise in however these would require to be in place prior to any adoption.
Toby is seeking an indoor only home with either a family with older children or adult only environment where his new pawrents can enthusiastically care for him and provide him with love, mental and physical stimulation he thrives on. Toby adores cuddles and play and any new pawrents must be willing to keep his toy cupboard stocked of his favourites!
Toby is a very mild mannered, chilled wee boy and deserves the very best after all he has been through. He has a huge, loving personality and we are sure that when the right pawrents meet this wonderful boy they will fall in love with him instantly as we all have at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.
Toby is neutered and will be up to date with all flea and wormer treatments on leaving Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue along with his vaccinations.

Update June 2011: We are delighted to report that Toby is now settling into his new home very well and is loving the attention and pampering his new pawrents give him. He continues to thrive every day and is making great progress though is still very much missed by all at the Harbour xx
