We are delighted to be able bring Tolkien forward for adoption now that he has settled into life at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue and following a vet health check which shows he is as healthy and strong as an ox. Many of you may be put off by Tolkiens age however let us assure you that as far as he is concerned its purely a number... boy can this boy move when he wants to and he is more than happy to demonstrate he is anything but 'past it'!
 Tolkien is a big favourite at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue, (yes we aren't supposed to have favourites) but Tolkien is a cat that is so loving, sweet, gentle and cuddly you can't help but be drawn to him. This lad is an absolute angel to care for, never complains and loves to be groomed - all the better for his fine fluffy coat.
He found his way to Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue after being sold on the free ads but didn't settle into his buyers home due to there being many other cats and a dog.
When he arrived he was stressed and had not been grooming himself properly. He had gone off his food and lost weight however within a couple of weeks of being at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue he has got himself looking amazing again and is eating really really well and slowly building up the weight he lost in his previous home.
Ideally we would like to place Tolkien in a home with no other pets, however he 'may' settle with an older, gentler cat for company. We are looking for a quiet home for Tolkien without young children and definitely no dogs.
 Tolkien does require an indoor only home as he has never been outdoors and due to his slightly timid nature would feel much safer indoors.
We have tried to show a variety of photos of Tolkien showing him at play, cuddles and showing his gorgeous yellow /amber eyes. Whoever his suitable, loving home may be, they will be very lucky to have this boy join them.
Tolkien is a cat that is an absolute joy to have around and will always make you smile.
Tolkien is neutered, vaccinated and will up to date with all worming and flea treatments on leaving Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.
