Things to consider....It is important that when you seek to add to your family a feline companion that the chosen cat / kitten can integrate into your lifestyle and family unit. Simply choosing 'any' cat will not suffice. The responsibility of the lifetime care of any animal should be considered carefully and well thought out. It is not a right, but a privilege to have a pet in your home and on taking a pet home you undertake to provide all care to meet their welfare needs for the rest of their life, through the good and bad times for both you and them. Cats can live well into their 20's and any commitment you make to your new feline friend must be for life. Also be aware of the financial aspects of feeding, insuring, regular flea and wormer treatments and providing the necessary veterinary care. If you cannot comfortably meet these basic costs yourself then perhaps you should not adopt. All of these aspects should be considered before making the decision to adopt a cat. We will help to advise and identify possible matches and urge you to contact us with any questions about adoption. For full details of our adoption process and answers to the common questions please have a read of our Frequently Asked Questions page.

If you would like to donate a little extra to help towards the expenses incurred during our cats rehabilitation and recovery and subsequent basic health care, it would be very much appreciated. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation it will go even further and enable us to help even more cats in need.
Why are black cats are harder to home???Black cats are often overlooked in the rescue for cats with brighter colours regardless of their personality. Yet, black cats will offer you as much love and affection as any of these other 'prettier' coloured cats. Please do not disregard a cat solely on its colour and if you are supersticious, remember that in the UK black cats will bring good luck to you and your home! We came across a very interesting article discussing black cats and their place in history and the many superstitions. Please do read by clicking here. This will take you to a 3rd party site.
