Direct HomingWhat is Direct Homing??Direct homing is the term we use to refer to cats who have found themselves currently seeking new homes but who are still living with their owners. These cats require a new home for a variety of reasons but due to space restrictions at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue we are unable to bring them into the rescue directly for rehoming and so set up this service to help these cats find new loving homes. These cats details have been posted by their owners would like to publish details and to take direct enquiries from potential adoptees. The aim is that hopefully some of these cats may find a home directly without the need to come into Sunny Harbour and a rescue environment, thus making it less traumatic for them but also to help to get cats in difficult situations into new loving homes. What is the process?Contact details for the current owner(s) of the cat(s) concerned can be found on the details page for each cat. You should contact the current owner for further details. Please do not contact Sunny Harbour as these cat(s) are not under our care. Please ensure that you obtain as much information as possible on medical background, vaccinations, neutering status, etc from the current owner as possible. Please also be aware that we have provided guidance to direct homing owners and they may wish to perform a home visit prior to rehoming their cat with you. Re-homing their cat(s) may be a very difficult thing for some owners to do so please try to be understanding of their situation.
