Sunny Harbour @ Xmas!Xmas is a special time of year for everyone. Lots of presents, food, bustling homes with relatives you haven't seen for months and a great time of year for those of us in warm, cosy homes. We'd like to ask you to spare a thought for cats less fortunate who would love to be spoilt for xmas but sadly, through no fault of their own have found themselves in a bad way and needed the help of Sunny Harbour to help them find their way again. We treat all of the many cats and kittens at Sunny Harbour with the same love and respect that we do our own pets and we would love to be able to spoil these little one's with new toys, scratching posts and some lovely turkey this xmas! As we are nearing completion of the new pen areas for the cats we would love to not only be able to treat them to the luxury of their purpose built pens but to also be able to furnish them to make them as comfortable as possible with scratchers and toys. With limited funds and no government funding every penny that we save throughout the year has to be allocated to veterinary care and treatments. Therefore we are making a special request to ask you to please consider our little one's this xmas and make a donation, no matter how small to our Xmas 2008 Fund and help us help the cats have a wonderful xmas too. Updated 24 / 12/ 08 We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our Xmas Fund 2008! Thanks to your generosity we managed to raise £58 for the kitties this Xmas and this will be spent on ensuring they all receive lots of wonderful presents and some new beds and scratchers. Pictures of the cats with their presents will follow. Once again thank you very very much to all of those who donated to our Xmas Fund. We would like to wish all of our supporters a very merry christmas and a wonderful New Year and '09. Updated 22/01/09 We are thrilled to be able to report that our kitties and their pens have now been spoilt with lovely new beds and lots and lots of new toys thanks to the Xmas Fund. Our thanks go to everyone who very kindly donated to the fund and from us and all the kitties to come this year who will benefit from the very full toy basket! THANK YOU!!
